At Cleveland Canine’s each member of our team is passionate about working with dogs, led by Carrie Evans, a full member of the Association of Pet behaviour Counsellors, Carrie’s love for working with animals is obvious to anyone who meets her.

Carrie

Carrie has over 25 years experience with companion animals; throughout her career she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience; Guide Dogs for the Blind Association trainer, Animal Nurse, Dogs Trust Animal Welfare Advisor and for the past 20 years running her own successful behaviour referral practice and puppy socialisation and pet dog training classes. Since opening Cleveland Canine’s Crèche in 2008, Carrie has continued to develop her knowledge having completed an NVQ level 5 in Management (BA equivalent) and NVQ level 7 (MA equivalent) in Strategic Leadership & Executive Management, focusing on building a team who are as passionate and motivated in providing puppies and pet dogs (and their owners) with a unique, professional day care service.

Pamela

Pamela Burbidge (Carrie’s mother-in-law), is as mad about dogs and animals, having retired from the Dogs Trust in 2009 after 15 years at their kennels at Sadberge, near Darlington, Pamela joined Cleveland Canine’s the following week. Pamela has a special interest in dog grooming and is frequently called upon to help with dogs that Carrie has seen with behavioural problems whose owners are unable to groom them. Pamela is also the first point of contact for Carrie’s behaviour practice, speaking to owner’s who have been referred by their veterinary surgeon.

Nicola

Supervisor Nicola Milburn, works alongside Carrie and Pamela supporting them in the office as well as within the dog day care. Nicola arranges the pickup and drop off and dog walking services. Although Nicola has no dogs of her own (living with parents does have some draw backs), she does have snakes, lizards, stick insects and guinea pigs. Nicola joined Cleveland Canine’s Crèche in July 2009, initially as a volunteer before joining the team full time in September that year, in October 2010 Nicola was given the new role of Supervisor, as well as working within the day care, supporting services and office she is responsible for our Facebook page.
