Santa Paws and his Elves
Each year we plan a Christmas event to help our canine pals celebrate this special time of year, we aim to do something different so this year we decided to help dogs and owners from day care and the puppy and dog classes celebrate Christmas by inviting Santa Paws and his Elves.
It was important to us that the Grotto not only looked right but also had a Christmas atmosphere and most of all the experience had to be enjoyed by dogs and their owners; with the help of Lynn, Simon, Nicola and Vicki our ideas slowly came together with perfect results. With snowmen and snowflakes, cosy fireplaces and wintery scenes, beautiful Christmas trees surrounded by brightly coloured presents, twinkling lights and grazing reindeer.
The scene was set already for Santa and his elves.
On the 16th of December the Mayor of Stockton came and officially opened Santa Paw’s Grotto. Each dog was welcomed by the Mayor before making their way to meet Santa Paws, after cuddles, fuss and lots of fun, each dog received a present from Santa’s sack. Some owners allowed their dog to open their gift immediately, whilst others said that they had to put it under the tree until Christmas Day.
Everyone who came to visit Santa Paws and his elves had a great time, so who knows maybe next year he will be back.
